A brief summary of what's going on in my life, and changes/additions to this site, in reverse chronological order. You might think this sounds much like a blog, but calling it a blog would imply that it should be updated regularly, which never works out for me, so it's not a blog.
I've bought a bike — 26 February 2008
That is, a bicycle, not of the motorised variety. It's a 2005 Avanti Corsa Pro frame, with a Campagnolo Veloce 9-speed double group-set. Here's a pic. The plan is to ride to work at least a few days a week, once I'm used to riding it, which hopefully shouldn't take more than a week or two. I should be fit in no time!
Site style update — 16 February 2008
Well I've redesigned this site. I think it's a significant improvement over the original design from January, although it is much the same, just prettier and more modern and stuff. Here's a comparison of the old and new.
We've adopted kittens! — 7 January 2008
Yesterday, myself and Sue went down to the Cat Haven in Shenton Park and rescued two kittens. I picked them up today after their sterilization/microchipping/vaccinations etc. They are as yet un-named 14-week old ginger tabbies, brother and sister. I've uploaded some photos.
Update (12 Jan): We've named them Fry and Leela. Yes, after the Futurama characters.
Added Photos section — 6 January 2008
I've just added a Photos section to the site. I'll upload photos here periodically as I see fit! I've just uploaded some photos from my work trip to the USA in November 2007, and some photos from a tour of a datacenter in Texas from the same trip.
New site launched — 1 January 2008
Another year, another web site. Today I launched my new personal web site, here at warren.guy.net.au. This will eventually supercede my old site at warrenguy.com. The site is mostly static hand-written HTML, with a very basic PHP script to hold it all together.
